OK. Here’s what I’m fed up with. I’m fed up with incompetence. I’m fed up with people who think sloppy is good enough. My son had a skiing accident. And the reason my son had a skiing accident is because the conditions weren’t reported accurately. OK. So that’s one example of incompetence that resulted in somebody getting hurt. But then I had to take my son in to get an x-ray at the Hospital for Special Surgery on East 70th street in New York City.

Now I’ve read stories about surgeons removing the wrong leg or the wrong lung, etc and I thought it was either not true or the doctors were drunk or on drugs or something. But on April 1st (April Fool’s Day but that’s no excuse) when my son got his x-ray, the technician did almost the same thing. Instead of x-raying the upper arm where the fracture was, this moron x-rayed the lower arm. So now I’m thinking either the doctor is a boob or this technician can’t read. So we go back in and get the right area x-rayed. So can somebody tell me why we should be doing the technician’s job when the cost of the x-ray is so high? Luckily this wasn’t surgery. But it gives me the creeps. Where can I complain about this? Do I write to the doctor, the hospital? What?
